Saint Catherine's Monastery
St. Catherine's Monastery is one of the oldest Christian monasteries in the world. It was built during the reign of the Byzantine Emperor Justinian in the 6th century Greek Christians. The monastery complex consists of several buildings. The Church of the Transfiguration, designed as a basilica, has 12 columns.
