Red Pyramid

Pink Pyramid - one of the largest of the pyramids of Egypt located near Cairo in Dahshurskogo necropolis. It got its name in honor of the color of faces in which they are painted in the sunset. It seems that the pyramid changes color to red. 

Because the Bent Pyramid was unsuccessful project, Pharaoh Sneferu ordered to build another one. Thus, pink pyramid was the first classical isosceles pyramid, which the Egyptians took the example for the building. Inside the pink pyramid stairs fitted, but to get into the burial chamber of Pharaoh have to go down to 62 meters under the ground. 

To date, pink pyramid's third largest after the pyramids of Khufu and Khafre at Giza. Pink Pyramid is close to Dahshur. There you can take a taxi from Cairo.
