Mosque of Muhammad Ali
Mohammed Ali Mosque - one of the most outstanding buildings of Egypt, 19th century. The temple is part of the Cairo citadel, whose construction began in the 12th century.
The mosque was built in honor of the Khedive of Egypt Muhammad Ali Pasha. Temple impresses with its original decor. Mohamed Ali Mosque also called "alabaster" as lining its walls were entirely made of this material. It has elements of Ottoman style, for example, two 84-meter high cylindrical minaret towering on either side of the mosque.
